R.P.S. Teacher's Training College Jhaphan, Muzaffarpur, is recognized by The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Bhuwneshwar, for B.Ed Course (Vide Letter No: E.R-206.5.58/NCTE/ERCAPP2628/B.Ed/44365 Dt. 03/03/2016) and for D.El.Ed Course (Vide Letter No: ER-206.5.59/NCTE/ERCAPP2626/D.El.Ed Dt. 03/03/2016) Govt. of India and affiliated to B. B. A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (Vide Letter No: 0130/R Dt.23/07/2017 for B.Ed and B.S.E.Board, Patna (Vide Letter No: T.T.Pre.89/2017 Dt 23/10/2017 for D.El.Ed.

Prompted by fast multiplying needs of the hour, "R.P.S. Teacher's Training College Jhaphan, Muzaffarpur" has been in efforts to cope-up with the prevailing set-up of the people's mind to prepare a solid base for their children so as to enable them to match with national and international competitive atmosphere.

The scarcity of trained teachers is quite evident from the fact that the vacancy announced and published as such by the Government of Bihar. Turning to the eastern region, we have found that the neighboring states like Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa and other states, do have a huge demand of such hands but at present there is no way to get trained teachers for teaching in Government Sector with similar situation prevailing in Private Sector too. In near future, the National Council for Teacher Education is thinking of improvement in Indian Education pattern for meeting competition on global scale. To add to the intensity and gravity of the problem aforesaid, the private sector, affiliated and non affiliated institutions up to + 2 level will also make it mandatory on the teachers to be appointed that they must be trained as per the pattern mentioned above. In view of the situation prevailing on the national and international horizon, "R. P. S. Teacher's Training College Jhaphan, Muzaffarpur " is preparing in the way to train teachers. This institute will leave no stone unturned to achieve the goal by providing all facilities to the trainees in right earnest.

In keeping with the development and process oriented objectives of Teacher Training Programme. The organization should aim at developing in the student teachers concept, competencies, attitudes and skills related to implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on child centered activity and play based approach to Teacher Training Programme. The area encompassed in the curriculum would be cognitive and language development, health and nutrition, socio-emotional development, physical and psychometric development, aesthetic development, creativity and play, programme, planning and school organization, community mobilization and participation. Within these broad guidelines the curriculum is flexible to accommodate different approaches and schools of thought on Teacher Training Programme for starting a Teacher Training Education in Bihar.
